Our History:   Short Motor Company was founded by my Dad, Leo Short, in 1990 after he was a Snap-On Tool dealer for 9 years. He was guided in starting his business by his uncle, John Short, who owned several new and used car dealerships throughout Texas over the course of more than 30 years in the business. I started working for my Dad at age 16, finished high school, and began my college career toward my Associates Degree in Automotive Marketing and Management from Northwood University in Cedar Hill, TX. I married my wonderful wife Rachel in 2007 and we welcomed a baby boy to our family in February 2011. My Dad and I continue to work together: he sells vehicles strictly from his storefront just as he has done since 1990, while I have chosen to cater to the online community.

 

When I was 12 years old, my Grandpa gave me a 1965 Mustang Fastback that had been sitting in a field since the 1970's. It was my dream car, but once I started looking to buy parts for it and realized that wasn't going to happen with my [non-existent] budget, I sold it for $1,300. By the time I graduated High School at age 17, I had bought and sold over 30 cars. For my High School yearbook, they made up a new "Most Likely To Be..." category for me - I was "Most Likely To Become President Of Ford Motor Company". When I joined eBay in 1999 I was buying and selling rare Hot Wheels toy cars. Now since 2006 I've been selling pre-owned cars and trucks full-time on eBay. Since day one, I've maintained 100% positive feedback.

 

 

My Philosophy:   To provide quality pre-owned vehicles with outstanding value and superior customer service. I realize that my customers have a lot of choices when purchasing a vehicle and my goal is to cater to you personally by providing a perfectly painless purchasing experience. I treat you with the same respect, honesty, and integrity that I would expect to receive. All of my vehicles are hand-picked, thoroughly inspected and fully serviced, and then inspected cosmetically and test driven by me before they're ever offered for sale.
