This is an extremely clean 1996 Ford F-250 4x4 with very low mileage. As far as I can tell, there's not another one on the market in the entire country like this one with a manual transmission and less than 100k miles - and if you're looking for a truck like this, this is the one to own.

 

I'm not often able to know much about the history of the trucks I sell, but I actually bought this one straight from the second owner who was a local man in his 80's. He had a small 8 acre farm not too far from my office and decided it was time to let go of this truck because of his declining health.

 

The original owner was the president of a local pharmaceutical supply company and once he sold the company in 1995 he and his wife decided they wanted to go RV'ing around the country. So, they special ordered this truck from the Ford dealership in Dallas (I still have the original window sticker). They went all over the country towing their travel trailer until 2001 when this gentleman's old company he sold hired him back on to be on the board of directors and manage a part of the company. That's when he sold the truck to the second owner who I mentioned earlier.

 

From day one, this truck has been extremely well cared for. This has not ever been anybody's work truck or mud truck, nor has it ever seen any other kind of abuse such as that. The engine is totally factory original with no modifications except for a 1 inch larger exhaust system that the original owner had installed at the Ford dealership (the catalytic converter and muffler are also larger aftermarket units). The first owner also added the Firestone airbags in the rear to keep the truck stable when towing the travel trailer. You can raise or lower the PSI in the airbags by pushing a switch up or down inside the cab. The second owner had the gooseneck hitch installed to pull his small horse trailer.

 

As you would expect, the engine is incredibly tight with no blow-by, no leaks, and no smoke. The transmission is also excellent with no grinding or popping out of gear or anything else - just smooth, solid shifts. The four wheel drive works perfect. This truck was just at the Ford dealer for its maintenance inspection and service 5,000 miles ago, but I just had the truck very thoroughly checked over and serviced again just to make sure nothing needs attention. This truck needs absolutely nothing.

 

Cosmetically, this truck is beautiful. I've actually put a few hundred miles on it myself and I've gotten thumbs up from people in my neighborhood as well as complete strangers - this truck is just that clean and it's a joy to drive. You don't see them like this anymore. I will say that as the second owner's health was in decline the past few years, he did bump into a few things on his property. Any dings or dents he caused were apparently very minor and he had each of them fixed right after they happened, so all of the paint is not original, but it's not obvious that any of the bodywork was ever done so I would call the workmanship acceptable. There are some extremely minor clues such as tiny spots of paint overspray on the edge of a couple pieces of weatherstripping and things such as this, but nothing that's easy to find or to fault the truck for. This truck hasn't ever been involved in any accidents and the Carfax is perfectly clean.

 

The interior is basically mint with no stains or tears or cracks anywhere. I honestly don't know of any defects about the interior - it looks excellent and extremely well taken care of. Everything works perfect too - A/C, windows, locks, cruise, stereo, etc. The first owner kept the truck in his garage anytime he wasn't towing his RV, and the second owner kept the truck under his carport anytime he wasn't driving it.

 

This truck drives perfect. Everything works great. The A/C is cold and the Heat is hot. The buyer will be very pleased with the condition of this truck. It is 100% rust-free and ready to drive anywhere. Fly in and drive it home - I'll even bring it to you at the airport!
